About the band

Shop Class started in an uninsulated garage during an especially brutal Chicago winter; with the help of heavy coats and a propane tank heater, the first pieces of their catalog were formed.

Drawing inspiration from artists like Pinegrove, Phoebe Bridgers, Big Thief, and Andy Shauf, Shop Class explores the emotional weight of family ties, the complexity of loss, and the longing for a simpler past.
